Submittal Reviewer engine

01 · Engines

What it does

Reads vendor submittals (shop drawings, product data, samples) and finds spec deviations before the PM reviews. Output: numbered findings list pinned to the drawing pages with spec citations.

How to read the findings list

Each finding has a numbered pin on the drawing and a card in the right-side findings panel. Click a pin to scroll the panel to its finding. Click a finding to scroll + zoom the drawing to its pin.

Below each finding card you'll see the spec citation (e.g. "05 21 00 §2.3.B") and a verbatim spec quote. This is what makes the finding defensible against the vendor.

Re-submit diff

When Rev B is uploaded, the engine diffs against Rev A findings. The drawer shows three groups:

Approve · Approve as noted · Reject · Revise

Common edge cases

"or equal" language: Engine treats as deviation by default; PM clears if vendor product is on the approved-equivalent list.

Substitution requests: Flagged separately; route to architect.

Missing pages: Engine reports incomplete submittal; doesn't generate findings until package complete.
